Health & Wellness Data (Stored Locally)
- Pain logs including severity levels, body part locations, symptoms, triggers, and medications
- Hand annotations and pain area images
- Workout completion history and exercise scores
- Game scores and progress
- Personal notes about your condition
Profile Information
- Name (optional, for personalization)
- Occupation type
- Health goals and symptom history
- Preferred reminder settings
Usage Analytics (Anonymous)
We use Firebase Analytics to collect anonymous usage data including:
- App screens viewed
- Features used
- Crash reports
- Device type and OS version
This data cannot be used to identify you personally and helps us improve the app.
Subscription Information
Payment processing is handled securely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store). We use RevenueCat to manage subscription status. We do not have access to your payment details.
Support Requests
When you contact support, we collect:
- Email address
- Message content
- Device information (for troubleshooting)
How Your Data is Stored
Local-First Architecture
Your health data is stored locally on your device only. We do not upload your pain logs, workout history, or personal health information to any server. This means:
- Your data stays on your device
- You have complete control over your information
- Deleting the app removes all local health data
No Account Required
CarpalCare does not require you to create an account. Your data is not tied to any email address or user ID on our servers.
How We Use Your Information
- To provide personalized exercise recommendations
- To track your progress and show analytics
- To generate doctor export reports (stored locally)
- To improve app functionality through anonymous analytics
- To respond to support requests
AI Chat Assistant
The AI assistant processes your questions to provide health information. Conversations may be sent to our AI provider for processing. We recommend not sharing personally identifiable information in chat messages.
Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with:
- Analytics providers (Firebase) — anonymous usage data only
- Payment processors (Apple/Google via RevenueCat) — for subscription management
- Support platform (Appgram) — only when you submit support requests
- AI providers — chat messages for processing responses
Doctor Export Feature
The PDF export feature generates reports containing your pain history. These files are created locally on your device and shared only when you choose to share them. We do not have access to exported reports.
Data Security
- All data stored locally on your device
- Optional Face ID, Touch ID, or passcode protection
- No transmission of health data to external servers
- Secure HTTPS for any network communications
Children's Privacy
CarpalCare is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Your Rights
You can:
- Access all your data within the app
- Export your data using the Doctor Export feature
- Delete all data by uninstalling the app
- Disable analytics in device settings

We may update this policy periodically. Continued use of the app constitutes acceptance of any changes.
